Removal

Removal of a cover of the distributor of ignition on model 1,6 l (BOSCH distributor)
Removal of a cover of the distributor of ignition on model 1,6 l (LUCAS distributor)
Removal of a rotor of the distributor and plastic filter on model 1,6 l (BOSCH distributor)
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
| 2. Mark and disconnect high-voltage wires from a cover of the distributor of ignition and spark plugs, at the same time pull not for a wire, and for a candle tip. Also remove the high-voltage wire connecting the ignition coil to an ignition distributor cover. |
| 3. On the BOSCH distributor, using a screw-driver edge, remove two spring brackets and uncover the ignition distributor. On the LUCAS distributor unscrew two screws and uncover the ignition distributor (see rice. Removal of a cover of the distributor of ignition on model 1,6 l (BOSCH distributor), Removal of a cover of the distributor of ignition on model 1,6 l (LUCAS distributor)). |
| 4. Having pulled, remove a distributor rotor from a shaft. |
| 5. On BOSCH ignition distributor for access to distributor elements, having pulled, remove the plastic filter from a distributor shaft (see rice. Removal of a rotor of the distributor and plastic filter on model 1,6 l (BOSCH distributor)). |

| 1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |

| 3. On the DOHC models except X20 XEV unscrew two bolts and uncover spark plugs a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. |
| 4. Unscrew three screws and uncover the ignition distributor (see rice. Unscrewing of the screw of fastening of a cover of the distributor of ignition on model of 2,0 l). |
| 5. Take the plastic screen from the ignition distributor case. On perimeter of the plastic screen the sealing ring is established. At removal of the plastic screen do not damage an ignition distributor rotor (see rice. Removal of the plastic screen from the ignition distributor case on model of 2,0 l). |
| 6. Using a six-sided key, unscrew two screws and remove an ignition distributor rotor, at the same time the metal nave of a rotor has to remain in the ignition distributor case (see rice. Unscrewing of screws of fastening of a rotor of the distributor of ignition, Removal of a rotor of the distributor of ignition on model of 2,0 l). |
| 7. Check a condition of a sealing ring on the plastic screen and, if necessary, replace it. |

Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. The rotor of the distributor of ignition can be established only in one situation. If necessary turn a metal nave of a rotor so that openings under the screw were combined with openings in a rotor of the distributor and distributive to a shaft. Check correctness of connection of high-voltage wires. |
