GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

In need of towage of the car from a serviceable avtomatiches which the transmission tow the car only forward. At the same time install the lever of the selector in situation N. At towage of the car on four wheels to tow the car on distance no more than 100 km with a speed no more than 80 km/h. If the automatic transmission is faulty or it is necessary to tow the car on long distance or with high speed, then make towage of the car only on back wheels.

The "sports" submode joins after pressing of the button S located in the top part of the lever of the selector. At the same time the control lamp on a combination of devices lights up. The automatic transmission and the control unit is very difficult units, but at the correct operation service life of the transmission will be long. Repair of the automatic transmission cannot be made even at most Opel service stations, however, using the special equipment, it is possible to diagnose electric system of the control unit.

On models with the X20 XEV engine the upgraded ECU block which prevents switching of the mode D in the mode 3 at a speed over 194 km/h is installed.
