16.5. Rack of a forward suspension bracket

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

For removal and dismantling of a rack of a forward suspension bracket it is necessary to use a stripper of spherical hinges and the device for compression of springs. At installation of a rack of a forward suspension bracket it is necessary to use new самоконтря щуюся a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft, a new lock ring of fastening of a power shaft to the transmission and a new nut of a nave.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In the presence take off caps of wheels, then weaken bolts of fastening of forward wheels. Tighten the emergency brake, then lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove the corresponding forward wheel.
2. In the presence, remove the ABS sensor from a rotary fist and disconnect its electrical wiring from a forward rack.
3. Remove a support of a forward brake from a rotary fist. Without disconnecting a brake hose from a support, using a soft wire, tie up a support to a body, at the same time do not stretch and overwind a brake hose.
4. Unscrew самоконтрящуюся a nut, the fixing pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering thirst for a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
5. Using a stripper, take a pin of the spherical hinge from a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
6. Unscrew a nut and take the external end of a power shaft from a nave of a forward wheel. Using a soft wire, tie the end of a power shaft to a body.
7. In a motor compartment unscrew a nut of fastening of the top part of a forward rack. At the same time hold a rod of a forward rack from a provorachivaniye a wrench (see rice. 8. Take a rack of a forward suspension bracket with a rotary fist from under a car wing (see rice. Removal of a rack of a forward suspension bracket together with a rotary fist).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a nave, the bearing of a wheel and a protective board of a brake disk from a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
2. Fix a rack of a forward suspension bracket in a vice with soft sponges and, using special adaptation, squeeze a spring so that it departed from the top part. When using special device for compression of springs, you watch that rounds of a spring were reliably taken and you make compression of a spring from the opposite sides. The spring has very big effort of compression therefore use only very reliable tool. Do not connect a spring by a wire at all.
3. Record a key a rod амортизато ра from a provorachivaniye and, using the second cap key, unscrew the central nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber.
4. Remove a rubber element of the top fastening of a rack of a forward suspension bracket and the bearing (see rice. Removal of a rubber element of the top fastening of a rack of a forward suspension bracket, Removal of the bearing from the top part of a rack of a forward suspension bracket).
5. Remove the top cup of a spring, the damping ring and a spring (see rice. Removal of the top cup of a spring and the damping ring).
6. Remove a protective cover and the rubber buffer from a shock-absorber rod (see rice. Removal from a rod of the shock-absorber of a protective cover and rubber buffer).
7. From the top part of a telescopic rack unscrew a ring nut and remove the shock-absorber. Because the nut is strongly tightened, turn a rack and clamp a nut in a vice with soft sponges and, having inserted a bolt into the lever of steering draft, mount unscrew a rack from a ring nut.
8. Take the shock-absorber from a rack (see rice. Extraction of the shock-absorber from a rack).
9. Check the shock-absorber for signs of leak of depreciation liquid. Check on all length of a rod of the shock-absorber for lack of pointed corrosion. Check the shock-absorber case for lack of mechanical damages. Install the shock-absorber in vertical position and check its work, moving a shock-absorber rod at full capacity. Also check operation of the shock-absorber, moving a shock-absorber rod up and down on distance of 50 - 100 mm. In all cases the rod of the shock-absorber has to move smoothly with a notable resistance. If the rod of the shock-absorber moves with breakthroughs or there are mechanical damages, the shock-absorber is subject to replacement.
10. Check a condition of a rubber emphasis and the bearing and, if necessary, replace them.
11. Install the shock-absorber in a rack and fix it by a ring nut.
12. Fix a rack in a vice with soft sponges and tighten a ring nut the required moment.
13. Establish a cylindrical spring so that its lower end correctly settled down in the lower nest of a spring (see rice. The correct arrangement of the lower round of a spring in a spring nest).
14. Establish a rubber emphasis and a protective cover.
15. Install the top cup of a spring and the damping ring so that the tag on the damping ring was combined with an opening in a spring cup (see rice. Combination of a tag on the damping ring with an opening in a spring cup). The opening in a cup of a spring has to be displaced on 90 ° from the end of a spring.
16. Grease the bearing and install it so that the party with a visible racetrack was from above.
17. Establish a rubber element of the top fastening of a rack.
18. Screw a nut on a rod of the shock-absorber and tighten it the required moment. At the same time hold a shock-absorber rod from a provorachivaniye the second wrench.
19. Slowly weaken the tool for compression of a spring. Check that extreme rounds of a spring correctly settled down in spring support.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install a rack of a forward suspension bracket in the car and screw the top nut of fastening of a rack, having tightened it the required moment. When tightening a nut hold a shock-absorber rod from a provorachivaniye the second wrench.
2. Establish the external end of a power shaft in a nave and fix it by a nut.
3. Establish a pin of the spherical hinge of a tip of steering draft in a rack and fix new самоконтрящейся by a nut, having tightened it the required moment.
4. Establish a brake support on a rotary fist.
5. In the presence install the ABS sensor on a rotary fist and fix electropro-vodka of the sensor on a forward rack.
6. Establish a wheel and lower the car. Tighten bolts of fastening of a wheel.
7. Check and, if necessary, adjust the angles of installation of forward wheels.
